Cowboys - Jerry Jones got out his big check book this off-season and finally ponied up for an All-Pro FG kicker, Mike Vanderjagt. Unforch, Vanderjagt has been suffering from a groin injury and had not kicked for quite a while before last Thursday night's preseason game against the Vikings. Big Mike sailed two potential game-winning kicks wide right in overtime--each from shorter than 35 yards. He's got a little over a week to pull it together and earn his paycheck. I'm not going to even bother talking about Terrell Owens.

U.S. Open Tennis - Saturday matches are postponed due to rain, so CBS is playing highlights from Andre Agassi's first few matches from this tournament. This is some great tennis! It's amazing that he's been able to hang in these intense, closely-fought matches. He looks like he's hitting as well as ever. Supposedly, this is his last U.S. Open, which makes me a bit sad. It's been cool to watch him mature from the "image is everything" prettyboy into a true class-act champion. The fans love him. He truly loves his fans. He seems to be so humble and appreciative of the opportunity to make a living playing tennis. Professional American sports could use more stars like Andre.

Where was my Dew Action Sports Tour, today?
